January 12 Significance

In Bet She'an

What does one do on such a free weekend where you but the last time is always moved to Jerusalem and has no idea what to do you?
's right, you go to Bet She 'on! This small town (16,000 inhabitants) in the Jordan Valley has a shopping mall, two banks, a border crossing into Jordan, a youth hostel and a excavation site. The last two points made me well devious to this place, everything else is rather not worth seeing, although there are also some stories to tell. Bet She 'is pending but especially for his Excavation . Since the 5th century . BC. here it has been several settlements. The Romans were there, Byzantine and Arab radicals have been found. Self has the Crusaders here devious way. In the Talmud is when there is a paradise, then the receipt by Bet She 'on. The excavation site is really very nice, a lot is well maintained or restored and you get an idea of how things have looked good against a few thousand years ahead.
What one should not forget in any case, the sunglasses. How important it is, I've noticed in the whole light-colored stone. Hat I had in Tabgha leave, but since I could still buy one. Forget the sunglasses, however, was a little painful. Again and again I needed a break and shadows when I tour again after about three hours in the hostel came back, I had to swallow in a dark room and get me rest for the eyes.
Why do I tell you this? When you come to Israel, do not forget your sunglasses, so;)
afternoon I was then placed in the pool. There are probably some American youth groups to visit . You can see here the way, currently more often. American Jews who travel across the country. One of the groups is 5 days, some of the other Days longer, but take it all the way about? These Americans have good sponsors well and not so much time. The other day I heard once that winning the state of Israel by such programs, more people will. Whether large-scale works, I have not yet found out now ...

Ah, just read that FC will again undertake a Portuguese. Maniche - sounds and I'm looking forward to the new season.
